Project summary: |
3D COVER examines and develops the specific material properties that will form the basis of a knowledge base for the process of powder additive manufacturing (AM) using laser (selective laser melting - SLS or SLM). The project combines the knowledge of the three research institutions of the region, which form a unique combination. 3D COVER creates the research basics of the whole process that will be developed in the future into production technology that will be as important as the production of components through traditional machining and melting. The aim of the project is to create a knowledge base for SLM, which is currently inadequate. Another aim, building on the equipment and expertise already provided, is to create a research infrastructure, to interconnect its capacities and to support the future of oriented training of experts in the project area. |
