A robot with a 3D printing head by Meltio

A robotic arm with a welding head from the Meltio company using WP-LMD (Wire-Powder Laser Metal Deposition) technology, including its accessories, was purchased as part of the project to upgrade the 3D printing workplace at VTP COMTES FHT to our new laboratory of additive technologies.

The unique Meltio technology is contained in a compact print head with 6 lasers with a total power of 1.2 kW. It is capable of processing metal raw material in the form of wire. The WP-LMD method makes it possible to print parts with an excellent microstructure and a density of 99.998%, the prints surpass castings and forgings in properties.
